TightSculpting removes fat and tightens

Laser treatments are based on the properties of laser light. Different tissues (such as fat cells or fibroblasts) react differently to different wavelengths of laser light. Studies show, for example, that over 60 percent of fat cells are destroyed if the temperature of the fat tissue rises to 42–45 degrees Celsius for over three minutes.

When it is known which wavelength is capable of raising the temperature of the fat tissue above 42 degrees Celsius, it is possible to precisely and accurately target this wavelength to the right place, the fat tissue.

Because of its power and precision, lasers are often superior to other treatment modalities in many respects.

Cityklinikka’s laser treatments are performed with Fotona Laser devices. Thanks to the innovative MatrixView™ monitor, tissue temperature can be monitored throughout the entire laser treatment. Additionally, TightSculpting™ procedures include continuous cooling of the skin surface. While the temperature in the fat tissue rises to 45 degrees, the surface layers of the skin remain almost at normal temperature.

Controlled heating of the tissues and cooling of the skin surface make TightSculpting™ procedures safe and as comfortable as possible. Although TightSculpting is an incredibly effective fat removal method, safety and comfort are not compromised.

During the TightSculpting procedure, extensive fat deposits are treated with prolonged exposure to effective laser energy. The laser pulses are quite long, and the temperature in the fat tissue rises up to 45 degrees Celsius, which is crucial for the effectiveness of the treatment. In addition to fat cells, the procedure also targets the dermis, where the collagen responsible for firming and tightening the skin is located.

The top layer of the skin, the epidermis, is not intended to be damaged by heating in TightSculpting. Therefore, the skin surface is cooled, and the tissue temperature is monitored throughout the procedure.

If the skin surface were not cooled, the temperature on the skin surface would rise even higher than in the fat tissue. High temperatures would damage the skin surface.

Results can be seen immediately after the treatment, and they continue to improve over the following weeks and months. Results vary among clients. When treating the waist area, the waist circumference has typically reduced by an average of 7–8 cm so far.

The TightSculpting™ procedure has been studied using scientific methods. Research results have been presented in the Journal of Laser and Health Academy.
